Product Introduction
Dulbecco′s Modified Eagle′s Medium (DMEM) uses a sodium bicarbonate (3700 mg/L) buffer system to maintain physiological pH at 5–10%CO2 environmental conditions. DMEM high-glycemic medium is widely used in the culture of fast-growing, low-adhesion cells, hybridoma myeloma cells, clonal cells, DNA-transfected transformed cells, various primary viral host cells, single cell cultures, and vaccines.
Product Application
Dulbecco's Modified Eagle′s Medium (DMEM) is a modification of Basal Medium Eagle (BME) that contains four times the concentration of amino acids and vitamins. The original formulation contained 1000 mg/L of glucose and was used to culture mouse embryonic cells. At present, DMEM medium is available in a variety of formulations, including low sugar (1000mg/L)/high sugar (4500mg/L)/no sugar, and a variety of formulations with or without sodium pyruvate/L-glutamine, etc., to support the primary culture of mouse and chicken cells, as well as a variety of normal and transformed cells.
