Dulbecco′s Modified Eagle′s Medium (DMEM) is a widely used basal medium that can be used to support the growth of many species of mammalian cells. DMEM medium was originally designed with a glucose content of 1000 mg/L (low sugar type), and later developed a glucose content of 4500 mg/L (high sugar type), which is now widely used in the culture of various cells.
