Product Introduction
RPMI 1640 Medium uses a sodium bicarbonate buffer system (2000 mg/L) and contains reduced glutathione and a higher concentration of vitamins, so it has a different effect than other media. Long-acting glutamine (L-alanyl-L-glutamine) (link product C3547) is an alternative to L-glutamine with better stability, reduced accumulation of toxic ammonia due to decomposition, improved cell state and increased cell viability. SLE (Super low endotoxin) grade, endotoxin ≤ 0.1 EU/mL.
Product Application
RPMI1640 medium was developed in 1966 by Moore et al., and was mainly used to support lymphoblast growth in suspension culture by improving the formulation of McCoy's 5A medium, and is now widely used in the culture of various adherent cells.
