Product Introduction
Schneider's Insect Medium is supplemented with 5-20% fetal bovine serum to support rapid growth of Drosophila cells. The medium also supports the growth of other dipteran insect cells.
Product Application
Schneider's Insect Medium is specifically designed for in vitro culture of Drosophila melanogaster S2 cells. Drosophila melanogaster cells are widely used in molecular biology studies at the gene level, and can also be used for the expression of recombinant proteins.
