Product Introduction
MycoNator-1 is a prokaryotic ribosome inhibitor that acts by blocking the initiation of polypeptide chain formation therefore preventing the synthesis of key enzymes and other proteins. MycoNator-1 interacts with the nucleotides in the domain V of 23S rRNA, which has been implicated as a part of the dynamically mobile peptidyltransferase center by completely blocking peptide bond formation. Specifically, it blocks the peptidyltransferase center on the ribosome. It offers treatment options when used sequentially and in combination with MycoNator-2 (a tetracycline derivative) for all levels of contaminations.
Product Application
MycoNator-1 is a semi-synthetically derived pleuromutilin antibiotic and is used to prevent, treat and control contamination of cell lines by Mycoplasma species.
