Human insulin is a hormone produced by pancreatic beta cells which regulate the glucose levels in blood.Human insulin is a globular protein with a molecular mass of 5,808 Da and consists of two chains connected by two disulfide bridges. This product is expressed in Escherichia coli. The purity and quality of the recombinant human insulin are demonstrated to be superior to the animal and semisynthetic insulin, making it an excellent auxiliary component in cell culture medium.
