VivaCell Glass Plating Beads (4 mmdiameter) provide an efficient and convenient method for achieving optimalplating on agar plates. By gently rolling the glass beads back and forth, theEscherichia coli solution (or any bacterial/fungal solution) is evenlydistributed across every corner of the plate.

Multiple plates containing glass beads canbe stacked and shaken simultaneously for plating. The glass beads are reusable:after use, they can be washed with 70% ethanol, sterilized under high pressure,and dried in a dry oven before reuse.
